Your Mac’s clipboard history, one keystroke away.
DittoDuo remembers the text, links, images and files you copy. Search them and paste any one back without leaving the app you’re in. Your history is stored only on your Mac.
Pick the layout that fits how you work.
Press ⌃` (the default shortcut) in any app and the panel opens right beside your cursor. List is the default; turn on Spotlight view in Settings for a larger preview. With Pro, Duo replaces List.
Fast to scan, quick to paste
- Search instantly with ⌘F, then narrow it with All, Text, Images, Files and Links filters.
- Clips are grouped by Today, Yesterday and day of the week, with the source app and time on each row.
- Press ⌘1–⌘9 to paste any of the first nine clips straight into the app you were using.
- The footer shows how many clips you keep, how much space they use, how long they stay and whether AI access is on.
Let your AI assistant search what you copied, with secrets redacted.
DittoDuo Pro includes an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI tools such as Claude and Cursor connect to apps on your Mac. Your assistant can find “that error I copied earlier” without you pasting it in.
- Off until you turn it on. Turning it off takes effect on the assistant’s next request.
- Redacted. Likely secrets (tokens, API keys, passwords, one-time codes and card numbers) are replaced before anything leaves DittoDuo. Redaction is pattern-based, so it can’t catch everything.
- Recent clips only. Assistants see the last 7 days by default (you can allow up to 90), with strict size limits.
- Read-only. Assistants can’t change or delete your history, and they never get file paths on disk.
- Your choice of assistant. Works with any assistant that supports MCP. Redacted clips go only to the assistant you set up.
DittoDuo never uploads your clipboard.
Clipboard history can hold passwords, messages and work you haven’t shared yet. DittoDuo keeps it on your Mac. The only way clips reach anyone else is if you turn on AI assistant access, and then only redacted recent clips, to the assistant you choose.
Stored only on your Mac
No account, no cloud sync. Your history lives in one folder on your Mac, and the folder is left out of Time Machine backups.
Owner-only file permissions
The history folder and every file in it can be read only by your macOS user account.
90 days by default
Old clips clean themselves up after 90 days. You can keep them by count or forever instead, and DittoDuo asks before deleting clips you already have.
Skips password-manager copies
Copies that password managers mark as concealed or temporary are never stored. For apps that don’t mark their copies, ignore the app in one click, and its existing clips are removed too.
A true erase
“Erase everything” deletes every clip, every image and the database files. After smaller deletes, the database is compacted shortly afterward so deleted text is cleared from it.
AI access off by default
No assistant can read anything until you turn it on. If you do, it gets recent clips only, with likely secrets redacted.
You never have to reach for the mouse.
You can change the shortcut that opens DittoDuo. Pasting into other apps needs the Accessibility permission, which you grant once in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Is any of my clipboard data sent anywhere?
DittoDuo never uploads your clips. If you turn on AI assistant access (Pro), recent clips, with likely secrets redacted, go to the assistant you set up. Pro’s weekly license check sends only a random license ID: no clips, no email address and nothing about your Mac. We don’t store your IP address.
Which AI assistants work with Pro?
Any assistant that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), such as Claude, Claude Code and Cursor. Settings → MCP has setup instructions and a configuration you can copy.
How many Macs can I use Pro on?
As many of your own Macs as you like. Each person needs their own license, so please don’t share your key.
What does “updates for the life of the product” mean?
Your one payment covers every DittoDuo update for as long as we sell and maintain DittoDuo. There’s no upgrade fee.
What if I’m offline?
Pro keeps working for up to 30 days without a license check. After that, Pro features pause until you reconnect. Your clips are never affected.
Do I need an account?
No. You get a license key on the confirmation page and by email. Paste it into Settings → License.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Contact us within 14 days of purchase, using the email address you bought with, for a full refund. See the refund policy.
Is my history encrypted?
It’s protected by owner-only file permissions, and by FileVault if you have it turned on. DittoDuo doesn’t add its own encryption on top.
Will DittoDuo be on the Mac App Store?
An App Store edition may come later. Because of the App Store sandbox, it wouldn’t include AI assistant access.
